Stream Monitoring
Join our crew of citizen scientist sampling water quality in 3 local streams. Monitors are trained and assigned sampling locations to sample monthly from April to November. Interested in becoming a Volunteer Stream Monitor?
Litter Clean-ups/Beautification Projects
Litter bugs me, but you can help! Bag the trash before it pollutes our streams and Great Lake! Attend an event or plan your own with the G.R.E.E.N. Bean Clean Up Trailer.

Restoration Projects
Save the bees (and other wildlife) by helping plant natives and trees to green our neighborhoods.

Invasive Species Removal
Reduce stress, burn calories, and improve habitats pulling and cutting invasive plants. Autumn Olive, privet, bush honeysuckle, garlic mustard, and phragmites are among the usual suspects that are taking over our natural places. Grab your gloves and let’s take back our parks!

Join a Friends Group
The friends of Old Woman Creek and Pipe Creek Watershed are always welcoming new faces to support watershed awareness in our community. Learn more about how you can join by clicking on the group. Or check them out on Facebook.

Become a District Board member
Are you a good leader and want to help support all that Erie County has to offer? Great communities start with healthy soil and clean water. The District knows this best and uses our expertise to wisely use our natural resources to build a strong community. Our Board of Supervisors are unpaid, elected public officials that serve a three year term. Elections are held in September at the Annual Meeting. If you are interested in learning more about the District, we encourage you to attend our monthly meetings, 2nd Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise posted. Contact our office for more information.
