Clean Water Contractor Program
The Clean Water Contractor (CWC) Program encourages site contractors to prevent soil erosion, control sediment, and prevent and manage spills of hazardous materials from entering our local waterways. The CWC Program is a partnership between Erie Conservation District and Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve (OWC NERR). The Ohio Coastal Training Program is part of OWC NERR and seeks local partnerships in stormwater management. Click here to learn more about the National Coastal Training Program. To become a CWC, the contractor must achieve the following:
- Attend the Clean Water Contractor Expo annually (held in February)
- Sign a pledge card to be kept on file with the Erie Conservation District
- Remain free of local violations pertaining to storm water runoff
