It was a little over three decades ago now, when several hunters began to notice a decline in the pheasant population; they all felt that it was as a direct result of a significant amount of habitat loss.  That’s when they took the initiative and banded together with likeminded hunters to form Pheasants Forever, an organization that still remains committed to wildlife habitat conservation today.  Presently, there are more than 750 Pheasants Forever Chapters across the country!

Volunteers within each Chapter work together in the effort to further conservation advocacy, provide education, and conduct numerous youth events within their individual communities.  What’s more, a PF Chapter annual banquet continues to be the most important source of generating funds essential to meeting all of the habitat project objectives that greatly benefit pheasants and quail, as well as many other species of wildlife.

The Erie-Ottawa-Sandusky Pheasants Forever Chapter is making preparations now for their 31st Annual Fundraising Banquet, set to take place on Saturday evening, March 16th, at the Camp Perry Banquet Hall, located off SR 2 just west of Port Clinton.

In addition to a wonderful buffet of brisket, wine chicken, pasta, salad, desserts and more, this event will feature 30 guns provided by the Fin Feather Fur Outfitters that will be auctioned.  Numerous other side raffles and silent auctions will also take place throughout the evening.

Admission to the E-O-S Pheasants Forever Banquet is $75 ($120 for a couple), which includes a 1-year membership.  Other packages are also available for purchase. Tickets are pre-sale only!  Tickets can be ordered direct online here.  For more information, contact the event organizer, Jarred Molesky, at jarred.molesky@ottawaswcd.com.
